No other house like it in Granada
"I have seen no other house like it anywhere in the world" is what one hears from the guests who have visited. The first time one enters the courtyard and experiences the landscape, the woodwork, the stairway, the kitchen area and the causeway, they usually begin gushing superlatives. We are often asked whether or not we have had the house professionally photographed for an architectural publication. As of now, the answer is no. We hope to get to this eventually.

As much I would like to take credit for the design, the majority of the credit goes to architect Francisco Delgado. Francisco is from Puerto Rico and studied architecture in the United States. We are proud to be further associated with Francisco who is the architect for our "Lomas De Miramar" project in San Juan Del Sur, Nicaragua. We suspect that this will be the most unique and "livable" project in the region at completion.

Casa La Sirena, is arguably the most luxurious house in Granada. It is the perfect blend of Spanish Colonial charm and first world luxury. Every detail has been painstakingly planned and created. Ergonomic expert, designer, and artist ,Tony Kulusic, who has made Granada his home, was largely responsible for the design of much of the furniture and carvings as well as many of the construction details such as determining proportions of materials and the design of various moldings. Tony likes to say "God lives in the last 5% of a construction project". Yes, Tony, He certainly does and you saw to it that was the case.

Bruce Long and Brett Jebens of Wooden Bridge Trading Company (www.woodenbridge.net) were responsible for the construction of the doors and windows. Bruce also operates a furniture company called Pinto Gallo. Pinto Gallo built nearly all of the furniture in the house.

We hope you enjoy Granada and are able to visit us in Casa La Sirena.
